FIG-THREE BAY

This natural attraction, also known as Fig Tree Bay, is in every guide. According to legend, a giant fig (fig) tree once grew on the beach. Once it got old and fell. Cypriots did not grieve for a long time, and plant a real fig garden along the coastline.

The bay attracts tourists with pristine nature, picturesque landscapes, clean sand and the crystal sea. Diving enthusiasts love to be here. Transparent water not only allows observing exotic inhabitants of the depths, but also visiting a chain of underwater caves in the northern part of the bay. Those who are not ready to make serious dives can take a walk with fins and a mask through the coral forest in the vicinity of one of the beaches.

Opposite the bay lies a small sandy island that protects the coast from strong waves and winds. The shallow bottom and clear water make the bay ideal for families with children. Near the bay there are other famous beaches of Protaras.
The bay is beautiful at any time of the year, especially in spring, when the rocks are covered with flowers and wild herbs. The multi-colored sea sways with the wind, filling the air with subtle aromas.

The infrastructure is well developed. On the beach there are umbrellas, sun loungers, toilets, changing cabins. Local authorities maintain perfect cleanliness and order.

Vacationers have a huge choice of entertainment: boat rental, catamarans, surfboards, banana and jet ski rides are available. There are several well-equipped volleyball, basketball and tennis courts. An excellent playground has been built for children.

Numerous restaurants, bars and cafes invite tourists to refresh themselves and rejuvenate after water activities and sports. The menu offers dishes of local and European cuisines.
