How to get from Larnaca to the nearest resorts

Most tourists start their journey around Cyprus from the international airport, located 4 km from the city of Larnaca. This is one of the largest air harbors in the country, which serves more than 7 million people annually.


Larnaca Airport has only one passenger terminal with an area of ​​98,000 m2. The building is divided into 2 levels. The upper one is for departures, the lower one serves departing flights. For comfortable landing and disembarkation of people, 16 telescopic rails are provided. At peak loads in high season, buses are additionally used.

The infrastructure of the airport is well developed. There are a variety of shops, including Duty Free, ATMs, cafes, currency exchange points, car rental, luggage storage, there is even a play area for children. Good Wi-Fi is available throughout.

Parking is available near the terminal. The cost of parking is 10 € for the first day, the next will cost 4 €.

Free parking for 10-15 minutes is only on the 2nd level in the passenger disembarkation area.


In most cases, you can get to one of the popular resorts both from the international airport, and directly from Larnaca. The latter option is sometimes comfortable, as the schedule of private carriers is more convenient than the schedule of transport running from the airport.

The parking lot is located next to the arrivals area. The cost of the trip must be agreed with the driver. It depends on the class of the car, seasonality and other factors. As a rule, the price is in the range of 20 €. Travel time is approximately 15 minutes.

Buses No. 22, 24, 407, 408, 409, 418, 440 go from the airport to the city. The stop is located on the 2nd floor, to get to it you must pass through the bridge. Your stop in Larnaca for a further trip to most tourist resorts is called Finikoudes Promenade.

Public transport moves at intervals of 1 hour from 7:00 to 17:00.

Airport Taxi

Bus from Larnaca

There is a bus from the airport to Paphos, but not directly, but through Limassol, so the trip will be long and tiring. The timetable is not convenient because it has long breaks from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. Ticket price – 10 €. Travel time is 4-5 hours. In this case, it is better to use a taxi.

This is a way to move, although more expensive, but comfortable and faster. The duration of the trip is from 1.5 to 2 hours. Price ranges from 100 to 140 €.

Transport departs from the Finikoudes Promenade (Date Alley) stop in Larnaca. The destination is indicated on the windshield of the bus. The interval of movement depends on the season, day of the week and time of day. The duration of the trip is 1 hour. Ticket price – 6 €. Tickets must be purchased from the driver.

Travel time is approximately 30 minutes. Price – 50 €.


The distance between cities is 70 km.

Shuttle Limassol Express
These small buses go directly from the airport to Limassol. They run 24 hours. Travel time is about 1 hour. Ticket price – 9 €. The only drawback is that the shuttle will not go anywhere until all the places are occupied. The waiting time can last up to 40 minutes.

Bus from Larnaca

Airport Bus
