Islands of vietnam
Vietnam is surrounded by picturesque islands. The resorts located on them are not inferior in beauty and ways of spending leisure time to popular tourist places on the mainland. Here are the most interesting islands that deserve your attention.
This is the largest island of Vietnam with an area of 574 km². Almost all of its territory is declared a conservation area, consisting of pristine jungle, clean rivers, waterfalls and mountains. The latter determine the landscape of Fukuoka, because of what it was called the Island of 99 mountains. The resort is 65 km from the coast in the Gulf of Thailand.
The infrastructure is poorly developed, such a holiday will appeal to people who want to be alone with themselves and enjoy nature. The most popular activities on the island after lazy lying on the beach are diving and sea fishing.
On the hills there is a plantation of black pepper, which you can visit on one of the excursions, and buy in memory several bags with spices. Other treasures are pearl farms thriving in local waters.
Ferries regularly go to Phu Quoc from the mainland, boats and boats ride in the manner of a taxi, so it will not be difficult to get to it. There are almost no roads on the island, so it makes no sense to rent a car.
This island lies near Nha Trang. You can get to it by ferry. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. People come here to see a huge aquarium, the building of which resembles a 3-deck ship. On the 1st and 2nd floors you can get acquainted in detail with the ichthyofauna of the region. On the top floor there is a seafood restaurant and a souvenir shop.
It is also worth taking a stroll through the fishing village of Tri Nguyen and looking at the picturesque Bai Soai Beach.
The island is located in close proximity to Nha Trang. On a relatively small piece of land there is a 5-star hotel of the same name and the largest amusement park in the country. You can get to the island in 20 minutes by cable car. Its length is slightly more than 3 300 meters, and its height reaches 70 m above sea level. There are regular water taxis, but a trip on this type of transport will cost more. Tickets for visiting the park are sold directly on the mainland or at the box office. The price is approximately 500,000 dong.
This island, located in the province of Quang Ngai, is not yet very famous for tourists, and therefore did not have time to lose its natural charm. Lee Song was formed as a result of volcanic activity, as evidenced by 5 extinct craters and pieces of solidified lava along the coastline.
The Duk and Hang pagodas are of great religious importance to the locals; they are worth a visit to enjoy the architectural forms and interior decoration.
In addition to tourism, local residents earn cultivated garlic. This vegetable is found in almost every dish of a local cafe. You can bring garlic sauce as a souvenir. It is so skillfully prepared that the burning-spicy taste is almost not felt.
There are no excursions to Lee Song yet, you can get to it yourself by ferry from the port of Quang Ngai.
KHON LAO (MONKEY ISLAND)
This tiny piece of land occupies a little more than 2 km² and is located about 20 km from Nha Trang. Once upon a time, Soviet scientists brought primates to him for study. Over time, a small animal population has grown to nearly 1,500 individuals. Members of the wild pack feel at ease and are not at all afraid of people. They are happy to come and take a treat from their hands. However, overestimating the friendliness of monkeys is not worth it. You may well be left without a camera, phone or other things dear to the heart. After a walk around the island, you should take a look at the circus show, which takes place on Ho Lao every evening.
HON HEO (ORCHID ISLAND)
Vietnamese guides present Hong Heo as the island with the largest varietal variety of orchids on the planet. You can get to this pearl from Nha Trang on your own by ferry or as part of a high-speed boat excursion.
In addition to flowers in the gardens, you can find majestic peacocks, bright parrots, there is a sculpture garden and a small circus in which elephants perform.
Extremists are offered to jump with a parachute or ride an ostrich. In the mountains there is an “Orchid Stream” where you can go canoeing.
After an eventful day, guests will find a beautiful beach with clear water. Due to the special structure of the bottom there are almost no waves.
THI (ostrich island)
Thi lies in Nha Trang Bay, next to Monkey Island and Orchid Island. This paradise attracts stunning landscapes and cozy bays, ideal for snorkeling. After beach activities and contemplative relaxation, tourists go to an ostrich farm to feed and ride these giant birds.
Another attraction is the garden in which the pitahaya fruit, known as the dragon fruit, grows. It is unlikely that they will be allowed to tear the fruits, but no one forbids taking pictures.
